After a 3-year hiatus due to COVID, we were thrilled to be asked for a second time to participate as a vendor/supplier in the IIDA NY Chapter’s Product Runway. This is an off-shoot of Fashion Week Rochester, where Architecture and Design Firms team up with a supplier(s) to create an ensemble made almost entirely out of products the supplier sells. This year, the designs were based on buildings around downtown Rochester.
We were teamed with Vargas Associates, who created the ensemble, and it represented the Memorial Art Gallery. Vargas designed and painstakingly fabricated this impressive costume. Can you identify the shade cloth, fabric, ceramic tile, and acoustical materials this piece was made from?
This event is a wonderful fundraiser for the Center for Youth, and a nice way to meet others within the industry, locally. We look forward to participating in this event again in years to come.
