Ask any general contractor and they’ll tell you, building can be rewarding work, but not without its challenges. Each new build or renovation is unique, there are dozens of trades to coordinate with, countless details to manage, budgets to keep and timelines to meet. A good subcontractor can be flexible and react quickly, when needed, to ensure a project goes smoothly.

At Drapery Industries, we fabricate the products we install, and this gives us the unique ability to produce and install durable, commercial products quickly and at a competitive price.
This happened recently on a renovation project for the North Rose-Wolcott Central School District. The district is currently undergoing a large capital improvement project involving all its schools and administrative offices. While the offices are being renovated, the district is leasing additional space for its staff, but the space needed to be renovated prior to the start of the lease. A tight timeline necessitated that the window treatments could be measured for only a couple of weeks prior to the space being occupied.

After Drapery Industries measured the space, provided product recommendations, and submitted a quote, the district placed an order. Within two weeks from time of order, thirty of our Blueshade SD Series manual clutch roller shades were made and installed throughout the space, ensuring the staff had the privacy and glare-control needed to continue their work in their new space.
